M-Sport Factory Tour - FAQs
What will I get to see on my tour?
During a tour of M-Sport you will get an in-depth look at our world-class motorsport engineering facilities. Tours include a look around the beautiful Dovenby Hall with its grand rooms and the impressive trophy collections in the board room, a visit to our high-tech departmental facilities and football pitch sized workshop where our world class cars are prepared, plus get up close to some famous cars and memorabilia in the museum.
Your expert guide will talk you through the history of the business and explain the wide range of activities the business is focused on today. Tours are always tailored to suit the busy schedules of the working factory and your guide will ensure you get the very best from your tour. It will depend on the date and our event schedules as to which of our current cars are in the workshop during your tour.
What are the timings of my visit?
We will ask you to arrive at Dovenby Hall 20-30 minute before your tour is due to start. You will need to visit the M-Sport security lodge upon arrival to sign-in and receive further instructions to find the meeting point. Enjoy refreshments while your group arrives ready for the tour to begin. Tours last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
Will I be able to take pictures on my tour?
Photography is strictly forbidden across most of the M-Sport site. Your tour guide will ensure there are opportunities for you to take photographs at specified locations during your tour, but we ask you to not take any photos other than those authorised by the guide.
Can children come on the tour?
It is possible for children to attend the tour of the M-sport factory but we do not recommend the tour for children under the age of 12. Any children must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or responsible adult. There are no specific children’s tickets.
I will be travelling to the tour, any advice?
If you are going to be travelling to visit us at Dovenby Hall, there’s lots of accommodation in the near by town of Cockermouth. There is no accommodation included with the ticket and it is your responsibility to arrange you accommodation and travel arrangements. Why not stay a little longer and visit the beautiful Lake District that is right on our doorstep at our base here in Cumbria?
